Katerina Voss is a captain in the The Blue Dragon Army, commanding a frontier company along the New Coast. She is the daughter of the warlock Arden Voss and earned her rank through years of military service rather than her family name.

Appearance

Tall and athletic, Katerina carries herself with quiet confidence. Steel-blue eyes miss very little. A pair of old scars trace a career spent close to danger. She is rarely seen without her polished plate armor, which bears dragon pauldrons and a symbol tied to Takhisis. An enchanted longsword rests at her side and a worn leather journal is always nearby.

Personality

Unlike many Dragon Army officers, Katerina values order over cruelty. She prefers prisoners to corpses and information to intimidation. Even enemies find her measured and professional — though few mistake that for mercy. She holds eye contact without aggression, listens carefully before deciding, and gives warnings once.

Background

Katerina rose through the Blue Dragon Army on her own record. Her father, Arden Voss, was a powerful warlock whose research and property have recently drawn her attention. She is actively piecing together what he built and what the party knows of it.

When the party was captured near the Ruined Farmhouse, she questioned Jack Dagger privately about her father. Satisfied that the party had defended the mansion rather than looted it, she released them in the morning with a direct warning: interfere with her plans again and she will not show the same restraint.
