Ruined Farmhouse
A burned and partially collapsed stone farmhouse off the road through the Flat Coastal Plain, encountered during the party’s journey toward Westguard.
The farmhouse sat set back from the road, its thatch roof fallen inward and the structure still smoldering when the party arrived. The The Blue Dragon Army had positioned concealed soldiers in the surrounding area, using the site as an ambush point.
What Happened Here
Jack Dagger left the road alone after the party smelled smoke, following the trail to the collapsed building. Inside he found the ruins of a family home and a small child alive beneath a collapsed beam. He cleared the debris, calmed the child, and tied it to himself to carry out.
Hidden soldiers opened fire as he reached the exterior wall. He was struck and lost consciousness outside the building.
The party tracked him here roughly an hour later. Sir Jangle Merrigold’s Harmonica of Echoing Memory vibrated faintly as a warning on approach. Before the party could act, unseen soldiers surrounded them. Katerina Voss’s forces stepped out and marched the party — and the unconscious Jack — to the Blue Dragon Army Camp.
Notable Details

- The The Blue Dragon Army was already watching this road. Their presence here was deliberate, not coincidental.
- The child’s fate after the party was captured remains unknown.
Rumors
- The soldiers at this site were not random. Someone gave orders about this stretch of road.
- The farmhouse fire was recent — recent enough that the embers were still warm when Jack Dagger arrived.
