Endas the Bard
Endas is the resident bard of The Inn of the Broken Blade. His warm voice, quick wit, and instinctive sense for the mood of a room have made him a favorite among both locals and travelers passing through Eastguard. His songs carry stories of adventurers, heroes, mistakes, and redemption, many of them true and all of them memorable.
He is a slim human man with expressive hazel eyes, a crooked grin, and chestnut brown hair that rarely stays tied back for long. His skin carries a light tan from years spent traveling the roads. Endas favors layered, colorful clothing worn thin from countless nights of performance, and his lute is never far from reach.
Charming, curious, and quietly perceptive, Endas speaks quickly when excited but slows down noticeably when conversations turn serious. He listens carefully not just to what is said, but how it is said, often allowing silence to do part of the work. One of his most endearing habits is elevating the stories of others while minimizing his own role in events.
For many years he wandered from town to town performing wherever an audience could be found. When the roads grew dangerous, he eventually settled in the Broken Blade, where stability replaced wandering. The steady stream of travelers provided both shelter and inspiration, and the inn slowly became his home.
He rarely speaks in detail about his own past. Instead he prefers to tell the stories of others.

Ideals
Stories Matter. In a chaotic world, stories connect people to the past and remind them how things once were and how they might be again.
Listening Before Speaking. The best stories belong to those who lived them. Interruptions do more than break the telling; they change the story.
Bonds
The Inn of the Broken Blade When traveling became unsafe, the inn gave Endas stability and purpose.
Teti Stoneharrow. Teti gave Endas a place to stay, warm meals, and a steady home within the inn. That kind of generosity earns lasting loyalty.
Flaws
Embellishment. Endas often adds a little flourish to the stories he tells. Most listeners enjoy the dramatics, though occasionally he embellishes parts of his own past as well.
Rumors
- Endas claims he once saw a ghost crossing the north bridge near the inn, though the details change every time he tells it.
