Cody Carpenter
Cody Carpenter is Eastguard’s master builder and the owner of Carpenters’ Woodworking near the south end of Main Street. Known for sturdy craftsmanship and an easy smile, Cody has built most of the structures in town with the help of his construction crew. He lives a simple and fulfilling life with his wife Bailey and their young daughter Emilia. Visitors often describe him as the kind of man who makes a town feel like home.
Appearance
Cody is a tall, barrel-chested human in his mid-thirties with a well-kept beard and strong hands marked by years of carpentry work. He usually wears work trousers, suspenders, and a rolled-sleeve shirt. His clothes smell faintly of sawdust, pine resin, and linseed oil. He carries himself with quiet confidence and the relaxed posture of someone who works hard and sleeps well.
Personality
Cody is patient, warm, and honest. He prefers straightforward conversation and has no tolerance for deceit. He is a listener first and a talker second, and he never rushes anyone who sits across from him in his rocking chair porch office. He cares deeply for his family and the town he helped build.
Background
Cody was raised in a family of builders and has worked with wood since childhood. He came to Eastguard when it was little more than a collection of scattered homes and helped turn it into a true town.
He married Bailey several years later, and together they built a small home behind the shop. Their young daughter Emilia has already taken a liking to playing in wood shavings and handing customers tiny “presents” she finds on the workshop floor.
Today Cody is responsible for much of the town’s continued growth, from everyday repairs to major construction projects, and his crew is currently assigned to the Temple of Mishakal rebuild.
