Arcanists provide the magical edge that allows the Black Briar Company to lock down entire village squares. They specialize in battlefield control, using spectral briars to pin down dissenters while the Enforcers move in.
They are notoriously difficult to corner. If pressed, they vanish — reappearing elsewhere before the dust settles.
